Series Intensive (Multiple Sessions)
Our most comprehensive and transformational self-defense classes for adults (17+), Intensive series courses teach verbal and physical defense tactics for a wide range of real-life scenarios. Learn de-escalation, boundary setting, awareness, self-advocacy, and when and how to use physical defensive skills when attacked. Counteract the freeze response, gain confidence to resolve or de-escalate conflict, and learn to defend yourself. You will practice the techniques in a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment. Learn various, effective fighting techniques for standing and on the ground that work for your body and ability. Because this course takes place over several sessions, please plan to attend every session.

* Women's Intensive: For women, trans women, and non-binary individuals comfortable in women-centered spaces.
* All-Gender: For men, trans men, women, trans women, non-binary individuals, and those that would feel uncomfortable in a woman-centric space.
101 Workshops (Single-Session)
An IMPACT 101 Workshop is perfect for people who:

Are short on time and want to take a quick class to learn a few skills

Want to see what IMPACT is all about before taking an Intensive series class

Have already taken an Intensive, Teen, or Family class and want more practice

Want to feel out IMPACT before bringing it to their school, business, or organization

Want to take a short format class with a family member, friend, or loved one
These shorter classes are for anyone aged 13 and up, unless otherwise noted. You will learn useful physical techniques and/or verbal skills in a trauma-informed, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Bystander Intervention Workshops
Gain skills and strategies to safely intervene when you witness harassment or troubling dynamics in public spaces and with peers. Learn low-level interventions, verbal de-escalation and boundary tactics, and how to use physical self-defense skills as a last resort. Practice through role-play scenarios various ways to respond in our inclusive and trauma-informed space. Also learn how to address people you know when they joke about or use abusive language toward a marginalized group. For anyone aged 13 and up, unless otherwise noted.

Advanced Series
For graduates of our Intensive series courses. Build upon your skills with more environmental realism and complexity. Learn more verbal skills, low-level physical techniques, how to physically protect others as a bystander, powerful physical techniques; and you'll learn how to fight blindfolded, in an elevator, and in a bed with covers. Open to Intensive graduates with instructor approval.
Weapons Defense Series
For Graduates of Intensive and Advanced Courses. Weapons Defense is the most advanced class offered at IMPACT Personal Safety of Colorado. You will learn the verbal and physical skills necessary to defend yourself against an assailant armed with a blunt object, knife, or gun. You will also learn the psychology of the attacker to help you better understand and process an attack scenario. By dispelling myths about weapons, students who take Weapons Defense are more confident in their own defense when faced with a weapon.
